Is it the same as an AI engineer?
No. The AI engineer trains models. The FDE uses ready models and solves the integration with the client systems and process.
Does it have to be someone from the model vendor?
No. An independent FDE picks the tool by the problem and by the company data policy.
How long does the engineer stay?
The time is agreed by the goal, not by hours. The exit is part of the contract.
